Irish Hospital Supplies were delighted to attend the National Neonatal Transport Programme 25th Anniversary Symposium and support the incredible work being done to provide specialist neonatal care and safe transport services for newborns across the country.

Northern Hospital Supplies were delighted to attend the Joint Royal Society of Medicine / Irish Otolaryngology Society / STORZ Visiting Professors Out of Town Meeting last week.

Best Contributor Award 2025

Irish Hospital Supplies were delighted to welcome Christoph Schach, Business Manager at Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH,  to our head office recently.

During his visit, Christoph presented us with the “Best Contributor Award 2025”, which we were honoured to receive at the Erbe Northern European Distributor Meeting.

New Technical Service Manager Appointed

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Kozdeba as the new Technical Service Manager for Irish Hospital Supplies and Northern Hospital Supplies.

Adam will lead the Technical Services function across both organisations, overseeing the service engineering and coordination teams. In this role, he will work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality technical expertise and customer support, while continuing to strengthen service performance and operational efficiency.

Irish Hospital Supplies
Established in 1970, Irish Hospital Supplies is a leading distributor of medical and surgical equipment and supply an extensive range of high-quality disposable and capital equipment from some of the most innovative brands within the healthcare industry. We are currently looking to recruit a Bench/Field Service Engineer to join our team.

The Role
This role is primarily a bench engineer’s role based on our Bray Co. Wicklow facility with responsibility for carrying out bench repairs and supporting over the phone troubleshooting on a range of equipment.

This role will also involve field-based activity when required to support the service team.

The range of equipment includes:
• HD Camera Systems and related equipment
• Diathermy/Electrosurgery units, Argon Plasma Coagulation units
• Warm-air patient warming units
• Surgical Laser units
• Patient couches and ancillary accessories
• And other equipment supplied or serviced by the group.

Key Responsibilities
The Bench/Field Service Engineer will report to the Technical Service Manager and be responsible for:

• Bench repairs in workshop
• Over the phone trouble shooting with hospital customers and team members
• Inspecting equipment on receipt and dispatch
• Installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Planned preventative maintenance to above listed equipment
• Attending reactive breakdown callout to equipment as described above
• Complete repair work on site in hospital
• Customer and sales support
• Travel and overnight stays when necessary

Qualification & Skills
• Qualification in Electro/mechanical/electronic engineering or equivalent
• Electromechanical field service engineering experience essential
• Experience in customer communication and liaison
• Customer focused, well organized, and ability to manage and expand the technical service department
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Proficiency in MS office suite
• Data accuracy and data entry
• Strong interpersonal skills, organisational and planning skills
• Full driving license
