06.12.2010/ The KIM Retractor - An Illuminated Spine Retractor with Radiolucent Retractor Blades

The KIM retractor – an illuminated spine retractor with radiolucent retractor blades in various lengths

The new retractor system described below is suitable for minimally invasive surgeries on the thoracic or lumbar spine and is used for all indications in this area. The surgeon can freely select and position the radiolucent PEEK retractor blades that are available in three different lengths (30 mm, 50 mm, and 70 mm). A proximal ball joint allows the highly customized positioning and fixation of the retractor blades using the associated tools, the manipulation handle and the screwdriver. The light guide can be simply snapped onto the retractor frame or retractor arms via a holder and facilitates the illumination of the surgical field.

Surgeons can continue to use the visualization systems to which they are accustomed, such as surgical microscopes. We can also recommend the use of the VITOM Spine 0° Telescope 28095VA.
